Define Planned Hours and Costs on Design Object

Explanation

This activity is used to enter estimated cost and hours on the design object.

If the connection to IFS/Project exists, the values you enter here will be reported automatically on a project activity. Further, the total scope for planned cost and hours is calculated and updated on the project activity. For more information refer to the about description for Project Management in IFS/Asset Design.

If the design object is connected to a project, the cost fields will be updated with a currency code. This will be the default currency code of the company defined for the project.

Prerequisites

A project and an activity needs to be defined on the design object. This will enable the automatic transfer of planned hours and costs from the design object to a project activity.

System Effects

If the design object is connected to a project and project activity, the planned values are updated on the project activity.
