Enter Design Part Codes for Design Object

Explanation

This activity is used to enter design part codes for a design object to help select and automatically connect a design part to the object. Up to four Design Part Codes for the default Design Part Code Collection defined in System Variables, may be selected from Lists of Values, and registered to the object. 

Prerequisites

• A design part code collection filled with design part codes is required.
• A default design part code collection defined in the System Variables window is required.

• Design part codes for the default design part code collection can be defined for the design object.

Procedure

1. Open the Design Object, Design Objects, or Linear Design Objects window.
2. Search for the design object for which you want to define design part codes.
3. In the Code 1 - Code 4 fields, enter an existing design part code directly for each code field or use a List of Values to select and insert a design part code. The Code fields you will use depend upon those defined for the default code collection.
4. Click Save. Design Parts can then be allocated via the Allocate Design Part activity.
