This activity involves defining a Plant to hold your IFS/Asset Design object data. A plant here, is an engineering or reengineering design that behaves according to its Standard. A plant consists of design objects and also owns the object information such as Object Connections, Document Connections, Project Connections and Additional Parts, among others. An object in one plant cannot be shared by other plants and multiple plants can be defined under the same standard.
A standard must be defined.
A plant is created and all system users are granted visibility access.
Alternatively open the Standard window, query for the standard for which the plant is being defined and perform all steps with the exception of 4, as the plant will be created for the standard displayed in the header of this window.
