Authorize Benefit Request and Distribute Information

This is the process where the plan administrator manages the incoming requests from the employees. The administrator has to authorize the requests before they are transferred to the employee and made effective. The administrator also sends information to the interested parties, the employee, the provider and the payroll administrator.

The process includes the following activities.

• Authorize new employee enrollment
• Send enrollment specification to employee
• Send enrollment specification to provider
• Send enrollment specification to payroll
