Connect Operations to Execution Item

Explanation

This activity is used to plan the operations required to complete a specific work.

Prerequisites

• Craft and employees must have been defined and connected to each other in the Organization Basic Data window.
• If the operation is to be connected to a job, the jobs must be defined on the Jobs tab prior to connecting the operation to the execution item.

System Effects

• As a result of this activity, operation lines will be connected to the execution item.
• The estimated cost/hours for the operation will be generated.

Procedure

1. Open the Compatible Unit Navigator.
2. Search for an existing record.
3. Select the appropriate execution item in the navigator.
4. Click the Operations tab.
5. Enter a new line and enter a value in the Description column.
6. Enter other values as required.
7. Save the information.
