Define Tools and Facilities

Explanation

This activity is used to define tools and facilities required to perform the work assignments contained by an execution item template. It considers adding all possible tools and facility alternatives by an execution item template.

Prerequisites

• An Un Released execution item template must exist.
• Tools and facilities Type must be defined in the Tools and Facilities Basic Data window.
• If the tools and facilities are to be connected to a job, the jobs must be defined on the Compatible Unit Template Navigator/Jobs tab prior to defining the tools and facilities for the execution item template.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a tool and facility line will be created for the execution item template.

Procedure

1. Open the Compatible Unit Template Navigator window.
2. Search for an existing record.
3. Select the appropriate execution item template in the navigator.
4. Click the Tools and Facilities tab.
5. Enter a new line and enter a value in the Tool/Facility Type column.
6. Enter information in Planned Quantity, and Planned Hours fields as required.
7. Save the record.
