Set Repair Line On-Hold

Explanation

This activity is used to set the repair line on hold, i.e., when the repair process is interrupted for some reason. This could for instance be when some additional issues have been detected, which require further discussions with the customer before proceeding. Another reason could be the lack of spare parts, which are to be supplied by the customer or by an external supplier.

For being able to put the line on-hold, the line hold reason must be defined as basic data. The line hold reason explains why the repair process is interrupted. Interruptions are recorded in the journal on the component repair order and can be studied there.

You can resume the work again by releasing the line to repair at any time, without any specific condition or requirements. The repair process can continue with the next step in the process.

Prerequisites

The component repair order line cannot be in Completed status.
