Assign Cost Estimator to Many Parts

Explanation

Use this function to assign a cost estimator to several parts at the same time. You cannot assign a cost estimator to a part connected to cost set 1.

Prerequisites

• The parts must exist.
• The cost estimator must have been defined.

System Effects

• This activity will define which cost estimator is responsible for the selected parts.

Assign New Cost Estimator to Part/Cost Set

Procedure

1. Open the Part Costs window.
2. Select the parts for which you want to assign a cost estimator.
3. Right-click and then click Assign New Cost Estimator. The Assign New Cost Estimator to Part/Cost Set dialog box appears.
4. In the Cost Estimator field, specify a cost estimator of your choice. Use the List of Values to select from the available cost estimators.
5. Click OK.
