Calculate Part Cost - Selected Parts

Explanation

Use this activity to calculate costs for several selected parts. Costs can be calculated for one level or for all levels of the selected parts. You can have the calculation stop at selected parts and not roll up their costs. This means that the cost calculation does not continue further up the structure than that part. The value can be one of the following:

You can use the existing Cost Set Estimated Material Cost values in the calculation or copy the inventory part Estimated Material Cost values to the Cost Set Estimated Material Cost before performing the calculation.

Calculate Part Cost - Selected Parts will be disabled if part with planning method K - Blow Through, T - Master Schedule Blow Through Part  or O - Level 0 Part is selected. This check will reduce the performance if large amount of data is selected.

Note: You cannot perform a cost calculation for cost set 1. This optional task is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.
