Define Cost Estimator

Explanation

Use this function to define the different cost estimators that you want to use in the system.

Prerequisites

The cost estimator that you want to define must be registered as a user in the system.

System Effects

This activity will create a cost estimator based on an existing user. If you select the Blocked for Use check box, the cost estimator will not be available for further use and will not appear in the List of Values.

Procedure

1. Open the Costing Basic Data window.
2. Click the Cost Estimator tab and create a new record.
3. Specify the identification of the user you want to define as a cost estimator in the Cost Estimator field. You can use List of Values to select from available users. The name of the cost estimator will be displayed in the Employee Name field. 
4. Optionally, select the Blocked for Use check box to block the cost estimator from further use.
5. Repeat for each cost estimator you want to define.
6. Save the changes made.
