Set Kaizen Cost

Explanation

Use this function to set Kaizen cost ratio for a single part or all parts in the structure.

Prerequisites

The total cost must have been calculated.

System Effects

This activity will create a Kaizen Cost which can be seen in part cost/ kaizen cost tab.

Procedure

To perform this activity in the Part Cost window:

1. Open the Part Cost window.
2. In the Part No list box, select the appropriate part.
3. Enter a Kaizen Cost in the Kaizen Cost field.
4. The Kaizen Cost Gap will be calculated and displayed in the Kaizen Cost Gap field.
5. In the Cost Reduction field, specify whether the cost reduction is mandatory or not.
6. In the Required Reduction field, enter a Required Reduction Date.

To perform this activity in the Set Kaizen Cost window:

1. Open the Set Kaizen Cost window.
2. Select site in the Site field. This field is mandatory.
3. Select cost set in the Cost Set field. This field is mandatory.
4. Select part cost group ID in the Part Cost Group ID field.
5. Select part number in the Part No field.
6. Select structure alternative in the Struct Alt. field.
7. Select routing alternative in the Rout Alt. field.
8. In the Reduction Rate field, enter level of ratio, e.g., 5 as 5%.
9. By selecting the Include Components check box, include sub component if they are to be concerned.
