Connect Document to Document Package

Explanation

Use this activity to connect documents to a document package. You can monitor the weighted average progress of the documents within the document package. Document packages can be connected to an activity in IFS/Project, and the document progress will be reported to the connected activity when the activity is refreshed. 

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, a document package should have been created previously.

Procedure

Connect existing document:

  1. Open the Document Package window and query for a document package.
  2. Click New to create a new row in the table.
  3. Enter an existing document in this row. You can enter the document data manually or you can use the List of Values.
  4. Once your document is entered, click Save to connect the document to the document package.

Connect a new document:

  1. Open the Document Package window and query for a document package.
  2. Right-click on the table and click Create Document. The Create Document Assistant is opened.
  3. Enter information as required and create a document.

Connect a planned document:

  1. Open the Document Package window and query for a document package.
  2. Click New to create a new row in the table.
  3. Enter values in the Document Class and Milestone Template fields.
  4. Save the record.
