Create Object Quick Connect

Explanation

This activity is used to enter the basic data required to connect objects to documents using the Document Revision/Connect Object tab. This data makes connecting business objects to documents fast and simple. If no configuration is given for a particular class, all the objects entered in Document Basic/Quick Object Connect tab will be available for quick connect to documents belonging to that class

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, the selected objects should be configured as document-aware in IFS Solution Manager.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the configured objects can be connected to documents through Quick Object Connect.

Procedure

1. Open the Document Basic window and click the Quick Object Connect tab.
2. Create a new record (F5).
3. Enter a value in the Object Type field or choose from the available object types using the List of Values.
4. Use the List of Values to select one or more values in the Keys field. The values selected should be the fields necessary to uniquely identify a particular object.
5. Save the record (F12).
