Enter Class for Transmittals

Explanation

This activity is used to specify the document classes to which the documents in a transmittal connected to a particular project should belong. The projects and document classes used in this activity should have been defined previously. If a project is connected to a document class, only documents within that class can be connected to document transmittals created for that particular project.

Prerequisites

• The document class must be defined in the Document Basic/Document Classes tab.
• The project must be defined in the Plan and Execute/Projects window.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, when connecting documents to a transmittal, the choice of the documents is limited to documents from particular classes. The List of Values for the document class will be displayed according to the classes defined for the selected project ID.

Procedure

1. Open the Document Classes per Project for Document Transmittals window.
2. Create a new record (F5).
3. Enter a project ID in the Project ID field or use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
4. Enter a document class in the Document Class field or use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
5. Save the record (F12).
