Create Business Opportunity from Business Activity

Explanation

When you have an opportunity generated from a business activity with a customer, you can create a business opportunity from the business activity. This can be done by right-clicking on the header and clicking Create Business Opportunity in the Business Activity window. The Create Opportunity from Activity dialog box will then be displayed for entering information.

Note: This option is disabled for business lead and supplier activities.

Prerequisites

The business activity must have been saved.

System Effects

A business opportunity is created, using all available information on the business activity header. At the same time the References tab will list the newly created opportunity.

Procedure

1. Display the business activity via the Populate or Query function, in the Business Activity  window.
2. Right-click and then click Create Business Opportunity. The Create Opportunity from Activity dialog box is displayed.
3. Enter necessary information in the fields of the window.
4. If needed, update the main representative ID.
5. Confirm by clicking OK.
