Connect Document to Phrase
Explanation
Use this activity to connect a document to predefined phrase within a specified time period. This automatically prints a
predefined phrase on a specified document within the time period. This optional task is to be performed by a system administrator
or equivalent person.
Prerequisites
This activity has the following prerequisites:
- Output types must be defined in the
Output Types tab.
- Documents must be created in the
Documents tab.
- Documents must be connected to output types.
- Phrases must be created in the
Phrases tab.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- Predefined phrases can be printed on documents.
- The phrase can be limited to a specific time period for document printing.
- Document phrases can be printed depending on specific companies as well
as sites.

Procedure
- Open the Document Text Administration window.
- Click the
Document Phrases tab.
- In the Document field, search for the document to connect to the phrase. The document description is populated.
- In the Valid From date, enter the starting date of the period during which the phrase will print.
- In the Valid To date, enter the ending date of the period during which the phrase will print.
- In the Phrase ID field, select the phrase ID from the List of Values. The phrase description is populated.
- Select the Valid for All Companies check box if the defined
phrase should be valid for all companies in the system. It can be made
available for specific companies and sites by right-clicking on the line and
then clicking Details, on the
Document Text Administration/Document Phrases window.
- Save the changes.
