Use Two-Stage Picking

Explanation

This activity is used to enable the use of two-stage picking and subsequent creation of a pre-ship delivery note for a particular site when customer orders are transferred to shipment inventory. Once picked parts are placed in a shipment inventory, a delivery note is required prior to packing since the packing of goods is done based on the delivery note.

Prerequisites

A site must exist.

System Effects

• When entering customer orders with an order type that uses shipment inventory, the Use Two-Stage Picking check box will be shown as selected in the Customer Order/Delivery Information tab and the Customer Orders window.
• The parts, once picked and placed in shipment inventory can only be delivered with a pre-ship delivery note.
• The Use Two-Stage Picking check box will be selected or cleared for subsequent customer orders and will not change on the already created customer orders.

Procedure

1. Open the Site window and search for the required site.
2. In the Extended Site Info/Sales and Procurement tab, select the Use Two-Stage Picking check box.
3. Save your changes.
