Connect User Group to Periods
Explanation
Use this activity to connect a user group to one or more accounting
periods within a company. This mandatory task is to be performed by a system
administrator or equivalent person.
Prerequisites
Before a user group is connected to accounting periods, the following must have been
completed:
- The accounting periods must be entered in the
Accounting Periods
window in IFS/Accounting Rules.
- The user group must be entered in the
User Groups window
in
IFS/Accounting Rules.
System Effects
- The user group is connected to one or more accounting
periods in the company.
- Users belonging to the user group are allowed to enter postings
for the corresponding accounting period.

Procedure
Use the following procedure to connect a user group to one or more accounting
periods:
- Open the Accounting Periods window.
- Query for the accounting periods.
- Select one or more accounting periods, and right-click and then click Create Periods per User
Groups. The
Create Periods for
User Groups window opens.
- In the User Group list, click the group to connect and click OK.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each user group to connect.
- Save the changes.
