Connect Cause to Fault Type

Explanation

This activity is used to define a cause for a fault type. A list of causes can be maintained for the purpose of providing the different reasons why a certain type of fault occur. It is also possible to define a failing component for a cause - these are the components within a certain type of equipment that are normally replaced as part of the work to rectify a failure. Most often they are not part of the equipment structure itself. Only one failing component can be defined for a certain cause. For a pump, components can be, for example, Motor or Seal.
