Define Process Class
Explanation
This activity is used to define a new Process Class for use in performing an RCM Analysis.
It can be structured into a hierarchical breakdown and where used in conjunction with the IFS RCM Toolkit Integration module creates a visual hierarchical structure aiding you in RCM Analysis.

System Effects
- The Process Class is created and associated to Equipment Objects, both Functional and Serial Objects.
- The association to an Equipment Object together with the Item Class is required in connecting the resulting Criticality Analysis and establishing the PM Program through the IFS RCM Toolkit Integration.

Procedure
- Open the
Maintenance Basic Data window and select the Process Classes tab.
- Create a new record (F5).
- Enter the required values in the Process Class and the Process Class Name fields.
- Save the information (F12).
- To create a structure, use the List of Values to enter an existing process class in the Parent Process Class field.
- If required, enter an informative text note in the Notes fields.
- Save the information (F12).
