Change Session Company

Explanation

This activity is used to change the default company that you will be performing your operations in, within your current session. It is also used when you want to change the company for a specific window only by using the right mouse button option Change Company or by clicking Company within a particular dialog box.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, the user ID used to log in to IFS Applications must be connected to the company to which you need to change. This is done in the Users per Company window.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the default company will be set to the selected company when you open a new window or dialog box within IFS Applications. If you have changed the company only for a particular window or dialog box, the default company will revert back to the company selected for the session when you open another window.

Procedure

To change the company to be used as the default company throughout your current session:

Open the Change Global Company dialog box. The current company used as the default company for the session will be displayed in the Current Company field, and the Selected Company check box will be selected for the same company.
Locate the company to which you want to change your session and select the Selected Company check box. You can click Default if you want to change to the default company for your user ID in the Users per Company window.
Click OK to save.

To change the company to be used as the default company within a particular window or dialog box:

If you are working within a window, right click and select Change Company. If you are working within a dialog box, click Company.
Locate the company to which you want to change your session and select the Selected Company check box. You can click Default if you want to change to the default company for your user ID in the Users per Company window.
Click OK to save.
