Create Project Operations

Explanation

In addition to the usual operations during the manufacturing of a product, i.e., manufacturing routing operations and template operations, it is now possible to create project specific operations which are related to a specific project item. 

Prerequisites

• The delivery project should exist.
• The provide code of the project item should be Make.
• The Use Project Operations checkbox should be selected.

System Effects

• An operation line will be created for the project item.
• Created by and Created Date fields will be updated accordingly.

Procedure

1. Open the Project Item Navigator window, query for the required project and select the appropriate item.
2. Click the Project Operations tab and create a new record.
3. Enter an operation number, operation description, and work center or select from the List of Values. Note that the values of the Labor Factor, Machine Factor, Labor Setup or Machine Setup should be greater than 0.
4. Enter any other information according to your requirement.
5. Save the record.
