Redesign Product Structure

Explanation

Use this activity to modify a part's structure. You can insert new child parts, remove child parts, or import parts. You can also modify position and quantity. When using the Engineering Part Navigator, it is also possible to connect documents and functions to the structure.

Prerequisites

The part revision exists.

Procedure

• Create a new child part:

1. In a new line, enter an existing part number and part revision.
2. Enter the part's position and quantity.
3. Save the record.

• Remove a child part:

1. Select the part to be removed.
2. Press the Remove button (or F7).
3. Save.

• Move around in the structure by using Next Level and Previous Level.
