Select Display Items
Explanation
This activity is used to select a combination of Measure, Light and/or Dimension
Items in order to create a basic design section.
Prerequisites
Before creating a design using these elements make sure to have
selected the required information sources from the Select Information
Sources dialog box.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, display items selected will be included in the
report design.

Procedure
- Expand a folder from the Display Items pane.
- Select the required display items from the folder and drag them to the
Microsoft Excel worksheet where the items would be aligned to form a
cell, row or a column. You can drag a number of display items from any
folder on to a row or column as required.
To copy a design row/column:
- Select any Microsoft Excel design row or design column that you need to
copy.
- Right-click and click the Copy Design Row or
Copy Design Column
option, as appropriate
- Select a Microsoft Excel row or column to copy the design row or column.
- Right-click and then click Paste Design Row or Paste Design Column
option.
To copy a design cell:
- Right-click and click Copy Design Cell.
- Go to the location where you want the design cell to be copied and right-click and then click
Paste Design Cell.
To display absolute cell values:
- Right-click and click Copy Design Cell.
- Select Display Absolute Value check box from the Cell
Options tab if you want to display the cell value without the equal sign
and quotation mark. This makes is possible to use the cell as an argument in
an ExcelŽ function and get the correct result.
