Cancel Task

Explanation

Use this activity when a modification task is to be performed in another Work Scope. This activity is only applicable for modification tasks & not valid for other tasks like LLP tasks. Selecting the option “Cancel Task” will reverse the running modification task in VIM. This “Cancel Task” function is not reversible. The removed tasks would be possible to include in another Work Scope created for a future shop visit.

Only the tasks in state “Excluded” are allowed to be cancelled.

Prerequisites

• Selected task must be a modification task.
• Selected task must be approved and not already signed off.
• The state of the task should be 'Excluded'.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, selected running task will be reversed from its “Running” state.

Procedure

1. Open the Define Work Scope window.
2. Select the work order number for your work order part by populating or by making a selective query.
3. Click on Task Sign Off tab.
4. Right-click anywhere in the row, then click Cancel Task.
