Create Component Repair Order, Assembly Shop Order

Explanation

Use this activity to create a component repair shop order for an assembly shop order component line. Component repair shop order will be created for the specified quantity in the New CRO Assistant. The repair shop order quantity in the dialog box may be the total, or a lesser amount, of the issued quantity on the assembly shop order material allocation line. The quantity specified will be unreserved from the assembly shop order component material allocation and reserved to the new repair shop order as the manufactured part and a component material allocation line. The component repair shop order will not have any other material allocations or operations created. If any additional material is necessary, they must be manually created. If any operations are necessary, they must be manually created. Processing of the component repair shop order is normal. Upon receipt of the material on the component repair shop order, the material will be reserved back to the assembly shop order material allocation line that originated the component repair shop order. Pegging of the component repair shop order can be referenced by the Interim Order for the work scope.

Procedure

  1. Open the MRO Shop Order window.
  2. Select the Material tab and select the desired component.
  3. Right-click and then click Create Component Repair Order. The Create Ad Hoc Repaired Shop Order dialog box will appear, inquiring the quantity you want to repair for the material allocation line.
  4. Click Yes. The dialog box will create a new repair shop order with reserved component material.
