Define Distribution of Product CTG Scrap

Explanation

Use this activity to define how the scrap factor from cradle-to-gate (CTG) in the product lifecycle is to be distributed. The CTG scrap that results from production is categorized into different emission media. You can specify the emission medium of each scrap item and its percentage thereby facilitating the identification of disposal means for all the resulting scrap.

For emissions of the Product type, the system distributes emissions to other media code scrap factors and distribution factors. When calculating the eco-footprint for a specific part, the distribution of the scrap factor for that part is retrieved from the distribution of product CTG scrap for the part. If no data exists there, then the information is retrieved from the Eco-footprint Basic Data/Distribution of Product CTG Scrap tab.

Prerequisites

N/A

System Effects

The scrap factor distribution is identified as a percentage.
