Enter Address Information

Explanation

Use this activity to enter address information on an equipment object. You can enter one or several addresses for each object.

Register Address for Objects

Procedure

  1. Open the Functional Object or Serial Object windows and create a new record (F5) or query for an existing one (F3).
  2. Right-click and click Address for Objects. The Register Address for Object window appears.
  3. Create a new record in the lower part of the window.
  4. In the Address ID field, enter an identity for the address.
  5. In the Default Address field, specify whether or not the address is a default one.
  6. In the Address 1 - 7 fields, enter a suitable address descriptions for the object.
  7. In the Contact field, enter the name of the contact person of the object.
  8. In the Phone No field, enter the phone number of the contact person.
  9. In the Email field, enter the e-mail address of the contact person.
  10. In the Location ID field, use list of values to enter a suitable location.
  11. Save the information (F12).

An entered address enables some options in the upper and lower part of the window. The following right-mouse options are available when a single record is selected in the overview table:

The information provided for the fields Contact and Phone No will be fetch to the work order created for the object which the address is belong to. Prepare Work Order/CO Information/Contact Information field will be updated with the information defined in Address for Object window, if there is no manually entered details for this field.

Note! Addresses could be automatically inherited from the parent object to the child object. This happens when the connection is made, first time and also when the object is moved to a new parent object.
