Enter Technical Data

Explanation

Use this activity to enter requirements on functional objects, i.e., required technical data according to functional specifications set on a position (function) in the equipment structure. For serial objects, you can enter settings and calibration data. If you have already associated the object with an object type, the technical attributes of the object type will automatically be displayed.

Defining the technical data is done by connecting a technical class which contain characteristics reflecting the technical features of the object. When the technical class is saved, the characteristics will appear and you can specify the characteristic values.

Prerequisites

The technical class and the attributes must have been entered in IFS/Application Services.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a technical class is connected to the equipment object.

Procedure

1. Open one of the following windows and click on the relevant tab. 

• Functional Object/Requirements tab
• Serial Object/Technical Data tab.

2. Place the cursor in the Technical Class field, and create a new record (F5).
3. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
4. Save the information (F12). The attributes are displayed in the lower part of the tab.
