Enter Test Point

Explanation

Use this activity to define a test point on an equipment object on which you can carry out measurements. The test point does not necessarily need to be a visible part of an object, e.g., bearings for a pump, or a weld on a tank. Test points can also be used to enter a simple, separate function without defining any new objects, for example: an electronic information board. Preventive maintenance actions and work orders can be created for test points.

Note: By default a Testpoint ID (*) will be available. Use this default test point id to register parameters on the Object, or create new test points if needed.

Prerequisites

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a test point for the object is created and can be used for entries on PM actions and work orders.
