Move Serial Object

Explanation

Use this activity to move a serial object from one place to another in the equipment structure. A serial object is not located in a fixed place in the equipment structure, but resides only temporarily in one place.

Prerequisites

• The current position for the serial object must be In Facility.
• "Belongs to Object" field in General tab must have a value defined in order to enable the right mouse option to move serial object.
• The new Belongs to Object should be in the same company as the current Belongs to Object.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a serial object is moved to another place in the facility. You can view all historical movements of a serial object in Serial Object History.

Procedure

1. Open the Serial Object and query for the serial object to be moved.
2. Right-click and click Move Serial Object. The Move Serial Object dialog box appears.
3. In the To Site field, click List to select the site where you want to move the serial object. 
4. In the To Object ID field, click List to select the ID of the superior object.
5. Click OK.
