Matching Parts
Matching the parts is done in the following steps when
clicking the Find Export License button :
- Check whether the top level part has an identified end usage requirement on the
Part/Export Control/End Usage tab, which then must match the end usage entered on the
Find and Connect Export License window. Otherwise, an error message indicating that the order is not allowed to be processed will be raised.
- If the identified supplier, customer, forwarder or end user exist as a denied party,
then an error message indicating that the order is not allowed to be processed will be raised.
- Match export licenses for the part catalog part.
- If it is a purchase part, then match licenses for the supplier for purchase part.
- If the top level part has a product structure or a
component list, then matching will be performed for all of the identified
components that requires an export license.
- If the top level part is classified as dual, then a
question will be raised asking the user to identify if dual parts for this order
will require a licenses or not, else if the top level part has a classification
where the License Needed check box is selected, then all dual parts for this order will require
a license. If not, when the top level part has a classification where the License
Needed is cleared, then all dual parts for this order will not require a
license.
Note: A license is not needed for a part catalog part or supplier for purchase part where the identified classification scheme is the same as identified on the part catalog for the top level part.
Also, when a part is identified as dual, then a license is
only needed if the top part requires a license.
Matching No Parts
Find and connect will automatically be run upon releasing
the purchase order. If the identified supplier, forwarder or end user exist as a
denied party, then Export License Status
on the no part order line will be updated.
Note: If at least one no part order lines
exists with Denied state then the
purchase order will not be released.
Match Identified Export License
If, after clicking the Find Export License, the system has not found the wanted export license, it is possible to find out why
by using the following steps:
- Make sure that the correct part and correct the License for Part Catalog or
the License for Supplier Part is selected in the folder to the left
- In the detailed window, select a row, right-click and click Match Identified Export License.
- A dialog box will open in which the expected export license number must be entered.
- The system will display why it cannot be matched.
- The Export License window will open and display the entered export
license.
- Changes can be made and saved.
- In the folder to the left, right-click and click Find Export License.
- If still the license is not found, repeat the above steps (as only one mismatch is identified at a time).
Find Export License
There are two ways of finding and matching export licenses:
- By clicking Find Export License which is enabled and possible to use only when there are no licenses connected with the purpose to find and match license for the top part and its components.
- By right-clicking and clicking Find and Connect in the tree window, which is only enabled for a tree line starting with “License for Part Catalog ID: ..” or “License for Supplier Part ID: ..” and only when no license is connected, with the purpose to find and match a license for just this selected part.
