Enter Grouping Layout

Explanation

Use this activity to specify the layout for a grouping level. The grouping level is specified in the DLS tab, for a data row in a row template, or in the SGL tab in a report template.

Prerequisites

Before entering information for the layout, the following must have been completed:

• The row template including a data row or the report template must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the rows in the report are printed differently, e.g., with greater indentation.

Grouping Layout

Procedure

Use the following procedure to specify a layout in the DLS tab in a data row:

1. Open Row Template and find the row template where the data row is included.
2. Mark the row and select Operations/View Row. The Data Row window opens.
3. Select the DLS tab. Enter information for a row in the tab. Save the information.
4. Select DLS Layout via the right mouse button. The Grouping Layout window opens.
5. Enter grouping layout information. You can enter one grouping layout for each defined DLS level.
6. Save the information.

Use the following procedure to specify a layout in the SGL tab in a report template:

1. Open Report Template and find the report template.
2. Select the SGL tab. Enter information for a row in the tab. Save the information.
3. Select the SGL Layout via the right mouse button. The Grouping Layout window opens.
4. Enter grouping layout information. You can enter one grouping layout for each defined SGL level.
5. Save the information.
