Acquisition Value Adjustment per Book

[About Posting Types and System Events - Financials] [To Process Main Fixed Assets Accounting] [To Fixed Assets Accounting

Usage

Use this window to make adjustments for the acquisition value of a fixed assets object in one or several books. Acquisition value adjustments are only possible for objects in status Active and for Books which are connected to the FA object. In the Posting Information group box you can modify the voucher date, user group and voucher type. The voucher type will be used only for books which does not have it's own voucher type connected.

You can enter the adjustment amounts per book and event date using this window. If several adjustments are entered for the same book, they must be entered in ascending order of the event date. For each adjustment the adjustment type (Addition or Appreciation) must be selected. The adjustment type controls the posting of the adjustment and the way it is displayed in the in FA Year Report. Transaction Reason and Notes can be used to specify details on the adjustment.

Information on the status of the object before the current adjustment is given in the Event Date Acquisition Value, Current Acquisition Value, Previous Acquisition Date, Latest Acquisition Date and Latest Depreciation Date fields. The effect of the adjustment is shown in the Adjusted Acquisition Value field.

If adjustments are entered for an event date which already has depreciations for the selected book, a warning message is raised that you may require to manually adjust the depreciations or, to interrupt the acquisition value adjustment.  If a depreciable object does not have depreciations up to the event date, the next depreciation proposal will handle the changed acquisition value according to the settings in the depreciation method.
