Enter Currency Rates

Explanation

The Enter Currency Rates activity is used to enter and view currency exchange rates used in the company. It is possible to change currency rates whenever desired by entering a currency rate and valid from date. Rates will be retrieved depending on date on transaction.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that a company has been created and that you have the authority to enter currency rates.

System Effects

As a result of this entry, the system will automatically use the exchange rate when converting a specified foreign currency to accounting currency.

Procedure

To enter currency rates:

1. Open Currency Rates. Check that the correct currency rate type is displayed. If not, scroll the list in the Currency Rate Type field and mark the desired type.
2. Populate and click New. Use the List of Values function and select the currency to adjust. Enter Currency Rate and Valid From date. Click Save.
