Enter User-defined Base Value Type

Explanation

Use this activity to enter user-defined base values. A user-defined base value can for example be a taxation value or an insurance value.

Prerequisites

Before information on user-defined base value types can be entered, the following must have been completed:

System Effects

As a result of this activity, information on the base value can be entered in the Object window, the User-defined Base Values tab. A user-defined base value can be used as a calculation base in a depreciation method. However, the conditions under which the user-defined base value lines are created in the Object/User-Defined Base Values Tab window would differ depending on whether the Initiated by Acquisition Value check box has been selected or not.

Condition System Effect
The Initiated by Acquisition Value check box is selected The user-defined base value lines will be automatically created in the Object/User-defined Base Values tab window when an object is activated or when the post imported transactions are completed for a newly created object. The acquisition value would be automatically generated as the base value.
The Initiated by Acquisition Value check box is cleared. The user defined base value lines will be automatically created in the Object/User-defined Base Values tab window before the object status is Active. The base value would have to be manually updated. The proposed base value will be zero.

Procedure

  2. Use the New function and enter the information.
  3. Save when finished.
