Connect Code Parts

Explanation

Use this activity to connect the code parts in the subsidiary to code parts in the parent company. Note! Code part A (Account) in the subsidiary must always be connected to code part A in the parent company.

Prerequisites

Before connecting the code parts, the following must have been completed:

• The subsidiary must be connected to the parent company in the Company window in IFS/Accounting Rules.

System Effects

As a result of this activity further connections between the subsidiary and the parent company can be performed, for example between the code part values.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to connect the code parts:

1. Open Define Code String and find the code parts.
2. Use List of Values and enter the code part A in the Parent Code Part field. The Parent Code Part Description field is displayed automatically. Enter information on other code parts.
3. Save when finished.
