Define Additional Code Parts

Explanation

This activity is used to define how additional code parts should be used in a Master Company for Group Consolidation. There is a total of 10 additional code parts that can be used, out of which K, L and M are system defined and used by specific functions in the consolidation process. Code parts N to T can optionally be used internally in the master company for group consolidation, e.g. for reporting of non-IS/BS related information.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity a company defined as Master Company for Group Consolidation must exist.

System Effects

  2. If needed, modify the Internal Name field to correspond with the purpose of the additional code part.

  4. In the Code Used list, select Yes to make the additional code part available for use in the company, or No if the code part is not be used. Note that system defined code parts K, L and M should always be used.
  5. The Code Part Function field indicates if a special function is connected to the code part. This is only valid for the system defined code parts K, L and M and this cannot be changed.

  7. To change the code part description, use the Description field.
  8. Select the Code Part Mapping checkbox if it should be possible for a reporting company code part to be mapped against the master company’s additional code part.
