Disconnect Reporting Entity

Explanation

This activity is used to disconnect reporting entities from a consolidation structure.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, the status of the relevant consolidation structure should be In Progress.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• The reporting entity will be disconnected from the consolidation structure.
• Disconnect transactions are created for the disconnected reporting entity.

Procedure

To disconnect reporting entities from a consolidation structure:

1. Open the Consolidation Structure window and search for the consolidation structure from which the reporting entity should be disconnected.
2. Right-click on the reporting entity that should be disconnected and click Disconnect Reporting Entity to open the Disconnect Reporting Entity dialog box.
3. Enter the date from which the disconnection is valid in the Event Date field.
4. Modify the value in the Period field if required. (Note: The period is automatically displayed when you enter a date in the Event Date field.)
5. Select Keep Until Year End check box if you want to display the disconnected reporting entity in the consolidation structure until the expiration of the accounting year defined in the master company.
6. Enter a description of the event in the Comment field if required.
7. Double click on the Notes check box, if you want to enter notes about the disconnection of the reporting entity.
8. Click OK.
