Update Structure Changes

Explanation

This activity is used to update structure changes to the consolidation. When a structure is entered in the Consolidation Status window, the connection details are copied from the Consolidation Structure window. Any changes made to the structure after that in the Consolidation Structure window need to be updated to the Consolidation Status window before consolidation is performed.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity:

• The consolidation structure for which the consolidation is to be performed should be open for the required period and balance version.
• The Structure Changes Exist check box should be selected, indicating that the consolidation structure has been modified for the specified period in the Consolidation Structure window after it was copied.
• The consolidation status of all the nodes in the structure should be Not Consolidated.
• The current user should have security access to consolidate the balances for the required combination of structure and balance version.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the details of structure connections will be the same in both the Consolidation Structure window and the Consolidation Status window.

Procedure

To update structure changes:

1. Open the Consolidation Status window and search for the required structure, balance version and the period of consolidation to which the changes should be updated.
2. Right-click in the header and click Update Structure Changes to update the changes to the consolidation structure.
