Use Posting Template
Explanation
Use this activity to create supplier invoice posting/s from a posting template.
Posting templates are useful when supplier invoices with similar postings are
entered.

Procedure
- Query for the supplier invoice from which you want to create a posting
template.
- Right-click and then click Create Posting Template. The
Create
Posting Template dialog box appears.
- In the Template No field, enter the template number. In the Template
Description field, enter the corresponding description.
- In the Valid From and Valid Until fields, enter the date range
during which the template will be valid.
- In Posting Lines Include field, select whether the template lines
should include amount, percentage of amount or no amount.
- Click OK to create the posting template.
- Create a new Manual supplier Invoice.
- Enter header and Invoice line information.
- Right click and then click, Use Posting Template.
- Select the Template ID and click OK. The postings of the
selected template ID will be copied to the posting information section.
OR
- Open the Posting Template window.
- Create a new record. Value appears automatically in the User,
Valid From and Valid Until fields.
- Enter the Template ID and Description.
- Select Ownership from the drop down.
- Edit the Valid To and Valid From if required.
- Enter a new line and add Account and other code parts as
required.
- Enter the line amount or the percentage of the line amount. The
percentage of the single posting line or the multiple posting lines entered
should equal to 100 percent.
- Create a new Manual Supplier Invoice.
- Enter header and invoice line information.
- Right click and then click, Use Posting Template.
- Select the Template ID and click OK. The postings of the
selected template ID will be copied to the posting information section.
