Connect Design Objects to Elements

Explanation

This activity is used to connect design objects to elements.

Note: If the design object already is connected to an equipment object, that equipment object will appear as a connection in the Equipment Objects tab in the Elements tab. If the design object in a later stage creates an equipment object, that equipment object will appear as a connection in the Equipment Objects tab in the Elements tab but only if the linear asset does not have the status Obsolete.

Prerequisites

• Available if IFS/Asset Design is installed.
• A linear asset with one or more elements should exists.

A design object is connected to the element.

Procedure

1. Open the Linear Asset window and query for the relevant record.
2. Click the Elements tab.
3. In the lower table, click the Design Objects tab.
4. Enter value in the Object ID fields.
5. Save the record.
