Create Segment Types

Explanation

This activity is used to create and define segment types.

Prerequisites

None.

System Effects

A segment type will be available to choose from in the List of Values in Linear Asset/Segments window.

Procedure

1. Open the Linear Asset Basic Data window, click the Segment Types tab.
2. Enter a value in the Segment Type field.
3. Enter a description of the segment type in the Description field.
4. Optionally, enter a value in the Item Class field. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
5. Check the box for Blocked for Use if the segment type should not appear in the List of Values when entering a segment type in the Linear Asset/Segments window
6. Press Save.
