Copy Structure Alternate

Explanation

Use this activity to copy a specific structure alternative to a specific structure alternative on a pre-existing structure revision.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that the structure for which you want to create an alternative must have been created.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system copies a specific structure alternative to a specific structure alternative on a pre-existing structure revision. No serial pointers are copied. These must be manually defined by the user. If this new component contains components, the alternate will be set to the default state, as defined in Site/Manufacturing.

Procedure

Select the part and the source structure alternative.
Right click in the Product Structure, Recipe Structure, or Config Structure tab, then click Select Copy Structure Alternative.
In the Destination Alternative group box, click List to select the destination part in the Part No field.
Select the revision number in the Revision No field in the Destination Alternative group box. Click List to select from existing revisions.
Enter the alternative number in the Alternative field in the Destination Alternative group box.
In the Destination Alternative group box, click List to select the site to which you are copying.
Select Structure Type from the List box in the Destination Alternative group box.
Click OK.
