Plan

Explanation

Use this activity to change the state of a structure or routing alternative to Plannable. A structure or routing alternative in Plannable state is only used for planning and costing purposes. You cannot create allocations and demands for a part with its structure alternative in Plannable state. You cannot create order operations or load for a part with its routing alternative in Plannable state. You can freely modify the structure or routing alternative and its components or operations at this state. The state of the structure or routing alternative can be changed to Buildable or Canceled. 

Prerequisites

This activity requires that the structure or routing alternative must be in Tentative state. No other structure revisions may be valid for the same effectivity range as the selected revision.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system changes the state of the structure or routing alternative to Plannable. The product status in Inventory Part/Revisions is set to In Effect.

Procedure

1. Display the parent part by clicking Populate (F2) or by making a selective query (F3).
2. Select the structure or routing alternative in the Alternative list box.
3. Right-click in the Product Structure, Recipe Structure, Planning, or Routings tab, then click Plan.
4. Click OK to the information message. This changes the status to Plannable.
