Copy Inspections and Terminating Actions

Explanation

This activity is used to copy initial inspections, continued inspections and/or terminating actions from one modification/assigned part number to another.

As a result of this activity, inspections (initial and continued inspections) and/or terminating actions are copied to the selected modification revision and assigned part number.

Procedure

  1. Open the Define Modification window and query (F3) for the modification revision to which inspections and terminating actions are to be copied.
  2. Click the Assign Parts tab.
  3. Select the row that contains the part revision to which inspections and terminating actions are to be copied, right-click and then click Copy Inspections and Terminating Actions. The Copy Inspections and Terminating Actions dialog box opens.
  4. In the From Mod Code field, enter the modification code of the part revision from which inspections and terminating actions are to be copied. Click List to select a value.
  5. In the From Mod Rev field, enter the revision of the selected modification. Click List to select a value.
  6. In the From Part No field, enter the part number from which inspections and terminating actions are to be copied. Click List to select a value.
  7. Select the Copy Terminating Actions check box if terminating actions are to be copied. This check box is selected by default and can be updated.
  8. Select the Copy Inspections check box if inspections are to be copied. This check box is selected by default and can be updated.
  9. Click Finish.

Note: This procedure can be performed using the Assigned Parts window as well.
