Unassign Serial

Explanation

This activity is used to unassign a serial from a mandatory modification revision.

Prerequisites

• The modification must have been defined. This modification must have the Mandatory category and be in the Active status.
• No running tasks can exist for the given modification for the serial number.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the serial is unassigned from the mandatory modification.

Procedure

1. Open the Modification Details window and query (F3) for the modification and part revision of the serial which is to be unassigned from the modification.
2. Click the Assign Serials tab and select a serial to unassign.
3. Right-click and click Unassign Serial.

Note: A serial can also be unassigned from a modification in the Assigned Serials window.
