Create Allocation Lines

Explanation

Distribution allocation lines can be created manually or automatically. Once created, all allocation lines will be displayed on the Part Details tab in two sections. The upper section will display lines with all the part numbers from the selected assortment and the total quantity allocated for that part for all sites in the site cluster. The lower section will display the different destination sites and the quantity of parts allocated from particular sites, for the part number of the line selected on the upper section.

Prerequisites

• For automatic line creation, an assortment node ID and site cluster node ID must be specified and saved.

System Effects

Automatic creation:

• All possible alternative allocation lines for the selected assortment and site cluster will be automatically created.

Manual creation:

• All created allocation lines will be displayed on the Part Details tab.

Procedure

Automatic creation:

1. Open the Distribution Allocation or Distribution Allocations window and select the required allocation.
2. Right-click on the header and then click Create Allocation Lines to automatically create all possible alternative allocation lines.

Manual creation:

1. Open the Distribution Allocation window and search for the required allocation.
2. On the upper section of the Part Details tab, create a new record.
3. Select the part number from the List of Values.
4. Save your changes.
5. On the lower section, create a new record and enter the destination site(s) for the part line selected on the upper section.
6. Save your changes.
