Define Part Main Group

Explanation

Parts are often grouped logically for purposes of easier retrieval of information. You must first define part main groups and then connect them to parts. Use this activity to define part main groups.

Procedure

1. Open the Part Basic Data window. Click on the Part Main Group tab.
2. Create a new record. In the Part Main Group field, enter a short code for the group.
3. In the Description field, enter a description for the part main group.
4. Save your record.
