Register Issue of Single Parts
Explanation
Usually, the system automatically registers the issues from inventory for
customer orders or shop orders. If you need to enter issues manually, it can be
done in this window. Depending on how you defined the system parameters, you can
issue the part even if its count is zero, i.e., negative counts are allowed.
If
the part is serial tracked in inventory, you can issue a specific part by
searching for the serial number. If the part is serial tracked at receipt and issue but not
serial tracked in inventory, a dialog box appears where you can search for the serial number to be issued.
Note that you cannot enter direct issues for the parts
in project inventory; it is only possible for the parts in standard inventory.
Prerequisites
- The part cannot be locked for counting.
- A standard cost must have been specified for the part (unless there is an
overriding cost
in the inventory part register or the part has Company
Rental Asset ownership).
- The part cannot be a blow-through or a phantom part (planning method T, O, or K).
- The current location cannot be an inspection location, shipment location, or arrival
location for single-handled parts.
- The inventory location type must be picking, floor stock, or production line.
- The ownership type of the parts must be Company Owned,
Company Rental Asset or
Consignment.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the inventory part will be issued and the amount in the
Quantity Available field will be decreased.
